Valerie Clark is the President of Clark & Associates Insurance Services, an insurance brokerage firm specializing in the development of creative health insurance plans for employer groups of all sizes. She has earned the Life Underwriters Training Council Fellowship (LUTCF) as well as the Registered Health Underwriter (RHU) designations. She also holds a Bachelors Degree in Nursing (BSN) from Loma Linda University and practiced as a Nurse for 8 years prior to joining Clark and Associates in 1993.
In addition to being a leader in the insurance industry, Valerie is a leader in the Northern Nevada community. She is a past Chair of the Reno Sparks Chamber of Commerce, and is current Chair of its Healthcare Committee. She is also one of the recipients of the Nevada Business, Healthcare Hero Awards in Northern Nevada for 2009. She has served on a number of advisory boards and councils, and is currently active with several boards such as Access to Healthcare Network, the Attorney General’s Committee on Healthcare Reform, the TMCC School of Nursing Advisory Board, and the United Way Women’s Advisory Council. Most recently she was appointed by the Governor to the Nevada State Board of Medical Examiners.
In 2009, Valerie and Clark and Associates, received an invitation to be the Nevada representative and exclusive member of United Benefit Advisors (UBA) - “An Alliance of the Nation’s Premier Independent Benefit Advisory Firms” which will benefit Clark & Associates’ valued clients in countless ways.
Valerie takes great pride in the growth of Clark & Associates and enjoys watching her staff develop their individual and team potential. She is the mother of two children and two dogs and, when time allows, likes to travel, ski, attend musical concerts by her favorite artists and spend time outdoors at Lake Tahoe with her kids, Bailey and Dustin, and fiancé, Scott!
