Sharon began her career in insurance in 1982 working as Manager of
Provider Relations and Marketing Services for Blue Cross Blue Shield.
In 1985 she became licensed as an independent insurance agent and
joined a local insurance agency as manager of their life and health
department.
Due to increasing government regulation and the multitude of
healthcare options, the insurance industry continued to grow more complex.
Sharon saw the need for an insurance agency that specialized
in employee benefits and service.
Therefore, Clark & Associates was established in 1992.
Sharon has been very active in professional and community organizations.
She was the founding Nevada Chairman for the National Association
of Health Insurance Agents (AHIA) and served on the Boards of Directors of
Nevada State Association of Life Underwriters and Sierra Nevada
Association of Health Underwriters. She
also served on the President's Council of Western Life Insurance as well
as the advisory councils for Blue Cross Blue Shield and Hometown Health.
In 1994 she was inducted as a member of Who's Who in Executives and
Professionals. |
